Vijay Central Academy follows the CBSE Examination Bye-laws and conducts assessments throughout the academic session to evaluate students' academic progress, participation, discipline and overall development.

Besides written examinations, equal importance is given to classroom performance, projects, practical work, attendance, homework and participation in co-curricular activities.

Students showing unsatisfactory academic progress, inadequate attendance or serious misconduct may be debarred from appearing in examinations or renewal of admission.

Important Notes

Students are required to secure the prescribed minimum marks in every subject. Attendance, discipline and classroom participation are essential for academic success. Parents are requested to regularly check the student's academic record in the School Diary. Students will not be permitted to appear in the Final Examination unless all school dues have been cleared.

The school believes that examinations are only one aspect of learning. Continuous evaluation, participation in school activities, discipline and consistent effort together contribute towards the overall growth and success of every student.

Attendance
Regular attendance and consistent academic work are essential conditions for promotion.
Failure
Failure in two or more subjects may require the student to repeat the class.
Neglect of Studies
Continuous neglect of any subject, whether compulsory or elective, will not be condoned.
Re-Test Policy
Since promotion is based on the year's overall performance, re-tests are not conducted and the declared results are final.
Repeated Failure
Students showing repeated unsatisfactory performance may be required to discontinue their studies in the school.

Students are Expected To

Attend school regularly and maintain good attendance. Complete homework, assignments and project work on time. Participate actively in curricular and co-curricular activities. Maintain discipline and good conduct inside and outside the classroom. Respect school rules and academic responsibilities. Work consistently throughout the academic session.
Important: Promotion is based on the student's complete academic record, including attendance, classroom performance, assignments, projects, practical work, examinations and overall conduct during the academic year.

CBSE Promotion Criteria (Class IX & XI)

Vijay Central Academy follows the latest CBSE Examination Bye-laws for the promotion of students from Class IX to X and Class XI to XII.

Students are expected to meet the minimum academic standards prescribed by CBSE along with satisfactory performance in Internal Assessment, Practical Work and School Activities.

Important Guidelines

Minimum 33% marks are compulsory in every subject. Practical subjects require separate passing marks in Theory and Practical. Internal Assessment is mandatory for promotion. Compartment is applicable only as per CBSE Examination Bye-laws. Students failing to qualify in the Compartment Examination may be required to repeat the class. The school follows all CBSE rules regarding examinations and promotion.
CBSE Compliance: Vijay Central Academy strictly follows the Examination Bye-laws issued by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). Any amendments or revisions made by the Board shall automatically become applicable to the school's examination and promotion policy.
